Um, guys, did you actually read the article from Fox news? It doesn't dispute global warming, in fact it goes to lenghts to say how this is a "fluctuation" in the warming trend.
I think what we have to remember is that, hey, if we have a cold winter now and then, it doesn't mean that global warming is a sham. In fact, the end result of global warming is an ice age. I'm not saying that's what's happening now, but I see people comment thinkgs like "Well, it was -15 F at my house today, so global warming must be wrong!"- it's not like that.
When they say "global warming", they mean like 2-3 degrees. But that's enough to melt ice that creates a rise in sea level - there's already been a couple of formerly inhabited islands that have disappeared. Coastlines will move inland.
The question always is, is man responsible? Or is this a natural cycle? Personally, I think it's a natural cycle, but humans have really accelerated it. Not that I'm a tree-hugger, I drive my truck and tractors around, adding to the problem. Not criticizing the past, either - we had to industrialize to move forward as a species. But now that we know about the problem, and we have the technology to make a difference, we should do what we can to slow global warming.
