Look in the archives on the Massey forum. The strainer is inside the transmission case and is accessed through the PTO control cover. Multi-power is a shift on the go high low range that doesn't require clutching or slowing down. It will free wheel in low position and can't be pull started. It is very useful if you are discing or something in high range and hit a soft spot or hill that starts to bog the engine down. Then you can quickly push the multi-power to low and keep going without having to stop and manually downshift or raise the disc etc. When you're through the tough spot, you can instantly shift it back into high. Muti-power in low reduces the tractor speed about 20% if I remember right. I have it and love it. Some people don't like it though. Dave
