Around here , the burglers will knock on the door , if someone answers they say they lost thier dog and was wondering if the homeowner has seen it. If no one answers thenn they break in.We bought 2 very big dogs and keep them in the house. They wouldn't hurt a soul except maybe lick a hole in your hand,LOL, but they are intimidating, when they bark at you.
