Some clubs require that exibitors be members or that they buy a pass.Is this right or wrong? I think it depends on the circumstances, our club worked and saved for 20 years to buy a piece of property to develop as a show ground. We paid off the original and borrowed enough money to develop the flea market and camp area.Wehave over $100,000 invested and will be out of debt again in less than 5 years. We feel that asking an exibitor to pay a small price to purchase a ticket is justified when we have mortgaged our show grounds and our personal property to provide a really great show grounds for others to show.We are in a small population area so don`t really have the resources to pass the cost on to the public.Paying has created a lot of hard feelings and debates both in and out of the club. As a director I have been bad mouthed many times over the subject. But it`s an economical decision that has to be made. The bottom line is it`s your choice if you want a good place to show some one must pay for it`, if you don`t want too don`t go.
