Don't recall that. Two of the Ertl sons are still in the toy business here in the USA. One owns Scale Models,the other has Spec Cast if I'm not mistaken. The original Ertl Company was bought out by Racing Champions,I think was the name of the outfit,then production was moved to China.RC made die cast cars and trucks. About the same time,the editor of Toy Farmer Magazine died of a massive heart attack and the whole farm toy collecting hobby dried up pretty quickly. You don't have that tractor pulling thing confused with Larry Roberts who owns R&L Trucking do you? He's still alive though.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
