Around 'here' people tend to like good old American iron, so your Kubota might not be accepted real well. They are good machines, if you are willing to pay for them. People such as yourself have kind of made them cost a lot. I mean that in a nice way.... Likewise with the Ford 8N tractors - they were wonderful machines in their day with lots of advanced features. But, they are 50+ years old, and lack of live pto, etc. makes them worth less than what they are selling for these days. Me, I would look for a 100 series Ford with live pto & 5-speed tranny, an Oliver 55 / 550, a Farmall/ International or other brands of the late 50's through '60's models. I would look for live pto, live hydraulics, a good standard transmission, 3-point (or convertable to 3-point) and something that is kinda common where you live, so you don't have the only one & no one knows how to fix it. Wide front end is better than narrow front end. The Kubota is good too, and you are probably looking at a front wheel drive with the loader? You won't find that on an older USA tractor. So, if you can afford it, the Kubota is a good machine. Did I totally confuse you? :) Others will offer their confusion as well. :) --->Paul
