I agree the government has a spec for everything and those scoped meet that spec in every way otherwise the government would not have been buying them for so many year. The problem is that the scopes used a part number that contained a refference that someone took offense to, plain and simple. Sadly for every one that took offense to just a Biblical refference (not even the complete verse) there were probably 100 or 1000 more that either took no offense or simply didn't care. Once again it's the government bowing to the whines and wants of the few rather than listening to the voice of the majority.
