Doves were in the feed lots all winter in the 50 and 60"s may still be in SE Iowa. Now The great state of Iowa list them as song birds so no shooting at the song bird. Now come over to Illinois and we shoot them in the fall difficult bird to hit unless you are good at trap or skeet. Always take about 100 rounds for an afternoon shoot may have some shells left? We have lived in this house (in town)30 years and have always had a nesting pair in the yard. Not the original doves. No cats, my dogs under the no part.
