Bart, My first advice is to get rid of the house trailer axels, or atleast the tires and rims. I agree with Joe, those things are hateful, and besides, they were never designed for long life or long running, and finding a tire on the open road is hard. You can get hubs that will fit the axel that use a 15 inch chevy truck rim, and this will be better in the long run. As far as the bounce at 35-40 MPH, it may not be tires, it could be axel placement. If the trailer is not balanced properly, they have a tendency to bounce at this speed. Usually pulls OK faster or slower. The setup should be safe enough, especially if the truck and trailer is equipted with electric brakes and they work.
