Marc, You gave people a wonderful chance to promote their own brand and, as much as I'd like to promote mine, I'll try not too. The tractor needs to be suited to your needs. The first being, is storage space an issue. If it is, a compact might be what you are looking for. If not,bigger is probably better. Also, what do you have for dealers aroud you. Dont buy something you will have to drive 50 mile for parts service or advice for. I wouldnt worry about an old tractor if its in good shape. they are surprisingly trouble free. Spent well, $8000.00 should get you a darn nice tractor.
