I have been collecting small industrial tractors for a couple of years now. I have a very rare Case CI narrow tread, CI, Farmall Hebard Shop Mule, and a Allis Chalmers IB. These were built from 1931 - 1950. Speaking only about the tractors in my collection, here are some of the diffrences. Case- offered either solid rubber or regular tires, foot clutch or hand clutch, electric start and/or hand crank, special brakes, optional high speed sprockets, choice of 2 different seating arrangements, and probally more. The IB and Shop Mule were shorter wheel based and set lower to the ground than a B Allis or A Farmall, they done this by rotating the rear drop boxes 90 degrees to the front and using a different front axle. The IB had a optional foot throttle and used a channel iron frame around the outside of the tractor to mount equipment to and to push from. Feel free to take a look at my photo album at my web page.
