Have you considered a tractor drive? I have heard of some pretty good sized ones. Ours was a small one. Did not have a lot of tractors. Did not bring in a lot of money. Did not cost a lot either. Did attract a lot of attention, and what I consider goodwill. Plan on going to go for it another year. Another thing that does pretty good around here is a Mud Run. A promoter puts it on, he bears the expenses of the event. The Volunteer Fire Dept involved gets the concession. For that you can do hot dogs hamburgers popcorn pop ice cream or what ever. A cake and pie auction did pretty good for us along with a chili supper. Make whatever you do a community type affair. I have seen everything raffled from riding lawn mowers to weed-eaters, rings rifles, gift certificates even a beef.
