Well this all started when the fuel line to my 135 meeded to be replaced. The original part for the line from the sediment bowl to the carburator is obsolete and the only ones you can buy are at Parts Depot and the Massey Dealer says by the time all is said and done around 60 bucks.
So I decide to bend some c-line into the new fuel line...first try didn't work so hot, second try worked but I had to cut it to get the carburator off as the nut had frozen into the little elbow inlet. Third try...this was going to be it.
I learned from the first two and made it a better fit even found out that the guy at the true value can do double flutes and is able to cut the line to fit.
First cut every thing looks right...try and do a test fit looks like the end that goes into the sediment bowl assembly is too long. Go have him cut it again, and this morning before I left from home I try and put it on.
It was too short. Even if I hadn't have him cut it (it was only 11/16) it still would have needed to be 1 1/2 longer.
So now I have learned and this time, God help me, its going to work. It reminds me why tractor dealerships love people like me. LOL
...but tomorrow I am going to NAPA and get the correct line and start all over. You gotta love the learning curve. I think I might even start producing them as I can bend the tubing in my sleep.
