I know it's a major pain in the butt, however living up here a guy knows most tricks about cold weather starting. For a sure-fire start in real cold weather (and it can get to -35C and even colder up here), remove the battery. You won't believe the difference in cranking power that a warm battery has. Take it inside and leave it on the floor on a board (although they say you don't have to do that anymore) and for the extra 5 minutes in and out, you'll be glad you did it.
