Earlier this afternoon you mentioned that I jinxed you with the snow talk. Well, here's my story....
This morning my wife was walking toward me and slipped on ice. She went straight up and straight down. I said to her,"Did you have a nice trip? I'll see you next fall." She had never heard that expression and thought it was kind of funny.
Fast forward to earlier this afternoon. The snow changed into sleet. I had a pile of firewood out on the ground that I didn't want to get iced up, so I had just covered it with a sheet of plastic. Walking away, I stepped on a corner of the plastic and I slipped. I wound up on my butt and hit the back of my head on the wood. I got up, found my wife and apologized for the joke in the morning.
Now my neck is sore and I've got a mild headache. I haven't felt like this since I played football in high school. I know, I know. Got to be careful and keep an eye on it. I'm sure I'll be alright.
