If I take a really great little '38 AC-B and make it show ready, it will be worth about $1800 to a collector. Take a newer AC-B with electric start, modern internally regulated alternator, generic old looking lights, flashy orange paint (not Persian Orange), modern muffler and carberator, Turf tires all around and add a Woods Belly mower. Now I have a Yuppie lawn mower that "Looks" like a "real farm tractor." Might add a cup holder for Latte's. I can sell a rig like that to a Yuppie with two acres and a horse stall and make him feel good about having it for just under $5000. Compared to the cost of a new John Deere sheet metal riding lawn mower, it looks even better. These "wannabe" farmers have a draw to looking like a farmer but don't have the time to work on a tractor themselves. If I offer them the realization of their dream with a "serious cast iron tractor" they'll come running with their money. These type of "farmers" don't have the room to opperate a real tractor so the small tractors fit their purposes and they have the cash to spend on one. I might work up a 50's model B for them but I just couldn't do that to a vintage tractor.

My dad dreamed that some day he would have his own tractor with every implement he could get. When he rea
