You missed the point again Robert, I'm not bashing Agco, AND, all I said was that I wouldn't run anything less than what I do. I would rather have power to spare and not burn out a tractor, than wear out a little 3 banger 4650 (which is what you said you run). And I don't have my green undies in a knot, besides the superior Deere quality my choice was swayed by excellent dealer service, next day parts (that is if it's not in stock, rare), ease of service, comfort, hydraulic capacity, and I can go on and on and on. As well, I know I can get what i paid for mine, but why would I sell? When something is that GOOD, you stick with it. I don't know who it was, but one fellow on this board said he would point to his shed and say, " now there's a cheap tractor" He was pointing at a Deere, and making note of it's low cost of ownership. If you go back to when all this started, all I wanted to get across to you was that different soil conditions and levels of till an scale of farming require different HP. 36 HP would work in a small garden situation, when you start doing acerage, I think you're just fooling yourself. FYI I don't know anyone with an Agco over here, its mostly Deere, CIH, NH, Massey and Landidni, probably in that order. No real Agco dealer support in this area, which is a shame. The White dealer usually keeps one new tractor in stock, and it's usually a field tractor. And my offer's still good, I'll give you $1500 Cnd. for the M, but now you'll have to deliver, heh heh heh >;-)

Upgrading an Oliver Super 55 Electrical System - by Dennis Hawkins. My old Oliver Super 55 has been just sitting and rusting for several years now. I really hate to see a good tractor being treated that way, but not being able to start it without a 30 minute point filing ritual every time contributed to its demise. If it would just start when I turn the key, then I would use it more often. In addition to a bad case of old age, most of the tractor's original electrical system was simply too unreliable to keep. The main focus of this page is to show how I upgr
