What, if you know, caused the fire? I assume if you had a suspect mater-cylinder switch you'd have it unhooked.
I knew about the recall a few years ago, but got refused twice when I took my 1994 F250 diesel to dealers. That included when I took it in last August in Alpena, Michigan. So, I just unhooked the trouble switch. It doesn't serve any purpose other than the cruise-control anyway.
Now?? Ford sent me a letter asking be to bring in my 1994 for TWO recalls. Brake switch and something about the front bumper falling off.
