Drive on, back on, been doing it both ways several times most every weekend all summer long for years. Never had a problem. You just need to use your head and use low gear and not screw around jumping the clutch. If you have not done it you might want to go to some tractor pulls and watch some of the pullers unload and load five or six tractors off of one load and (watch what they don't do.)
