After reading the post below about where to get chains I thought I should warn people. Be very careful to print out the order form when you order online from tirechains.com or any where else. I went to tirechains.com to order some chains. The size I wanted said $404 when I clicked checkout the checkout page said $454. When I called to check the lady said the higher price include shipping, so I ordered them. When they arrived the ticket said $454 plus $79 shipping. I called to question this the same lady answered the phone she said the website wasn't updated and claimed she had never talked to me on the phone. "Mike" called back the next day left a message saying basically tough $hit. The next day I looked at the receipt again and according to it they had not shipped the size I ordered. When I called to question this the same lady answered and I told her what was wrong she said she would have Mike call I said I wanted to talk to him now not later and get it straightened out or I would call my credit card company and dispute the charge. So she said would put me on hold and get him. Instead she hung up on me. I waited to see if she would call back in case she hadn't done it on purpose. She never did so I called the credit card company the next day to dispute it. The following saturday at 8 in the evening Mike left a message saying UPS would pick them up the following tuesday. He also said they didn't even sell the size that was listed on their receipt. Then a few days after tuesday mike called to say that since I had not opened the packages to try them for size I would be charged for shipping both ways and a 15% restocking charge. My wife tried to answer when he was leaving the his message, but he hung up on her. I had opened one package, but I did not try them for size since it said the wrong size on the receipt. I again contacted the credit card company, but they said since I did not print out my order form I had no proof they sent the wrong size, and even if I did they could still charge me shipping and restocking since that was their return policy. I know I did not order the wrong size because the size they sent was a long ways from the size I wanted on their web page. So I'm out $254 and have no chains. So be careful when you order anything especially from tirechains.com.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
