Old, I can relate to getting locked out in the cold. A few weeks ago around midnight the wind started blowing pretty hard and I decided that we should put up the awning on our motor home. My wife and I went outside in our pj's and it was about 30 degrees out. After getting the awning secured, I went to open the door and the door handle over-centered and would just flop there and we could not get in. Now it is dark out and we are in a large area with no one close by and we have no keys, phone, the outside cabinets are locked up and a cold wind is blowing. The only think I could find was a pair of stay bars that I bought at the swap meet. I was getting close to breaking a window when I finally got the end of the bars between two sliding windows and was able to get enough of a gap to slide a bent wire tent peg in there and release the lock. It still took a table and some effort to crawl inside and then yell out to my wife that I was going to bed now. :o)
