My experience here is that when you're dealing with Farm plated trucks, the larger the truck... the cheaper the insurance. I think my Ranger is somewhere around 700/year for 2 mil liability. Our ton used to be in the 4-500 range for same.... and the tandem? Just a hair over 200 for the same coverage. If you're talking commercial licence as in commercial, FOR HIRE... whole different ball game. In that case I'm sure the tandem would be a lot more... but then you're also dealing with CGL (bonded) policies and such...
