I bought a new Ignition switch with the key. When I got it all apart I noticed that I could slide the cylinder out by removing the snap ring in the back. Took the snap ring off the new one lined it up with the the locking piece on the main housing it when't right in, yes I put the spring on the back started the car turned it off every thing shut off dash lights the ding when you leave the key in tryed to pull the key out no go took it a part looked ok put it back together same thing maybe I need too replace the whole thing but it was 90.00 and this was 28.00 just thought I would ask thanks any way.
