The key word in "Global Warming" is Global.
Many think that their little "piece of heaven" is the world. Might be the reason for the geocentric theory of the planets for centuries.
Think back to your grade school days and how the teacher discussed that 70% of the earth's surface is covered with water. Now look at el Nino, what percent of the surface does that include.
Now take a trip a few feet or maybe a mile below the surface of the ocean. What's happening there?
So if you are considering what is happening on your section of land (1 square mile), you only make up 0.000000497% of the earth's surface. (I hope my math is correct)
