I have split many 8Ns, and even our Ford 9000 and TW10, both with cabs on. A rolling floor jack is all the lifting power you need for the small tractors, but on the big ones you better have a good splitting stand. Unfortunately I do not know how big the MF 275 is, so I can't give good specific advice.
If possible find someone who has experience with that tractor and ask for their advice. One time I even rented the splitting stand (OTC) from my Ford dealer over a 4 day weekend. He made a few bucks on a piece of equipment that would just be sitting for that time period. Since then, I have made my own rolling splitting stand for use on the TW10. For adjustable wheels, I used the screw type wheels for a scaffold frame. They worked very well, and went back to their original job when the tractor clutch was finished. I prefer to move the engine section away from the tranny and cab. For replacing a clutch, you only need 12" to 15" of space between split sections. Be sure to label all wires that get separated.
