My dad taught at Delta state U for the years we lived there. When we first moved there it was called something else. And ya that was the name of the paper. I worked as a press mans helper for the commercial also and got the not so fun time of watching him get his arm stuck in the press one time. Not a good thing and it scared the $@%&^@% out of me so I learned not to put my hands in place like that. There was a town not to far up the road/hwy not sure what the hwy was any more that was about 99% black but the town name is also something I can not remember. Funny how after 36 or so years you forget a lot of things. I have always wanted to get back down that way but have not been able to. There is also a hwy or was that went out from town but the high school and DSU was both on it and I and I hit 165mph on that one night in a car I had at the time

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
