don't know about the sensor but i had to have the cam phasers and right side cam shaft replaced on my 04 f150. phasers gotten real noisy and then extremely loud. when got into the engine to replace phasers found the cam wore bad. no warranty, just $2500. 140k miles mix of city and highway with regular oil changes with texaco oil.
