Large John Deere Tractors were made in Waterloo, Iowa. Smaller John Deeres, M-430,1010,2010 were made in Dubuque, Iowa. After 1965, 20 series 30 series, and 40 series were made in both Dubuque Iowa, and Mannheim, Germany, although not all models were made both places. After 1980, all John Deere Utility Tractors sold in the USA at least came from Mannheim. Other, foreign markets sometimes got tractors made elsewhere. John Deere SP Forage Harvesters are made in Ottumwa, Iowa. John Deere SP Cotton Pickers are made in Des Moines, Iowa. Currantly, the 4000 and 5000 series tractors are assembled in Georgia, 6000 series are made in Mannheim, and the 7000,8000, and 9000 series tractors are made in Waterloo. Currantly, Dubuque builds construction and industrial equipment.
