We still have 62 in our county, and for the most part a hard nosed bunch of dedicated farmers . But age will still pick one or two out every year if there is no one to take over. Ontario now has just 4300 dairy farms left, when I started in 1981 there were over 15000. Numbers really fell fast in the late 80's and thru the early 90's .
