ford tractors were built at the rouge plant in dearborn michigan from the start to 1927 then tractor works was moved to cork ireland home of henery ford, they stayed there till the 9-n came out in 1939,the 9-n 2-n 8-n and some of the golden jubilies and some of the number series were built at the old rouge plant, were the model A was builtand most of ford cars and trucks,i think the time the color blue was changed they moved tractor work,s to the new plant in romeo michigan were they stayed till bought out by new-holland.the plant is now a ford engine plant were they also hand build the cobra motor,s.after the ford and ferguson break up harry ferguson tractors were built in detroit at the southfield and 8 mile road plant,it still stands today. i think the to-20-threw the 1155 were all built there it was a real big plant with about 30 spurs to the rail head.there was also a small reserche plant in wayne michigan and about 500 acers were they were tested, seen many combines over there for test resultes.that is now a golf field.ford also had what was called the ford farmes all over south east michigan, and soy bean plants, and water steam plants in 10 or 12 little citys, the buildings are all standing today and given to each city.ford had one big farm 10 miles west of wayne michigan, about 1000 acers that they ran till new-holland bought them, and every speing they had get togeathers out there for all the farmers.ford also had around 3000 acers west of dundee michigan, he use to go to all the orphneges in the detroit area and pick the boys up and take them out there and let them play on the N-series tractors all day.he would let them do anything they wanted, some were plowing and some were discking and going in all diffrent directions.
