does kraft own any cheese plants anymore? they sold the last one in this area about 10 years ago. they once had cheese plants at milledgeville, stockton, galena, and freeport il. i don't know if this was all at the same time. the one at stockton was sold to brewster cheese of brewster ohio. i think the plant in freeport il was the first cheese plant kraft owned. local legend has kraft bought the patent for cream cheese form a friend lived in winslow il about 10 miles west of me.
