I've been stopped many times and have always found the officers to be polite and respectful, with a couple of exceptions, and even then they were not overbearing. I've been boarded by game wardens many time too, and generally it was a relative pleasant experience. I've received a few citations, but only once did I have a legitimate argument. It was a gray area and I eventually won upon an appeal. But I have never argued with those in authority. I've been allowed to slide more times than I've been ticketed. I have the same problems with kids in the classroom and I tell them that there will be no argument. I'll discuss it in the hall, but if it's serious, not in front of others.
