Well here's my story. lol. My son and I was headed for cumberland tractor dealer looking for a wagon to pull behind his tractor. We were in the restored 1992 Ford 4x4 with no plates. Had the check sent along wih the paper work into Madison.Been almost a month and no plates from DMV. Officer pulled us over and approached the passenger side where I was setting. aked us politely where was the plates/ Told him we were wondering the same thing because a month had passed by and havn't got em yet. Showed him the paperwork and a photo of the check detailing what the check was for. Back to the squad car and wanted to know where we were going. Told him to the tractor dealer for a wagon. He wanted to know what was in the case we had in the back of the camper shell. Told him it contained piano tools and we were piano tuners by trade. I asked him if he ran us for wants and warrants. he then asked me if I was an old police officer, Nope I told him. He called in for additional info on us then came back and said My son was wanted in three states. I thanked him for the information and told him I wanted to know what states he was wanted in so we wouldn't go back there any more. Got a chuckle out of him and gave him our card and told him if he ever needed a piano tuner to give us a call. Now the plates came about 4 days later and every time we go to cumberland, and if we spot him we get a smile and wave from him . Nice plesant exchange of commical conversation. Pays to be nice and as for me, Thats one job I wouldn't want. Dont have the temper for it. Way to many smart asssssssss to deal with. Drunks, acid heads, theives, liers,robers, and gunman to suit me. done with my story. LOU
