Simply put : there MUCH more effective ways to invest limited energy funds than in soyfuel, ect. research to benefit Cargill and ADM, two of the main reasons the family farm is broke. There is no magic solution or alchemy to make instant, AFFORDABLE, non petrolianic liquid fuel. We can make it, just not cheap enough. Unless ag commodities that lend themselves to fuel use get more perversely cheaper than they already are, which woulndn't help ag, there is no way to magically get $2.85 bu grain to yeild 50cent a gallon fuel. More research funding would just be good money after bad to prove that which is already known.
