I was looking at a Farmall 826 with a hydrostat transmission, any opinions on the german diesel engines they used and / or on the hydrostats? My biggest question with the hydro is longevity and maintenance. I plan to mainly use the tractor for plowing snow and mowing hay, ho heavy tillage. Will the hydro work right away in cold weather like -10 or will it need hours to warm up and work porperly?
