Well lets see here I have had three pick ups that really tryed my patience's First was a 1970 ford 3/4 tone two wheel drive plane jane as it was stuck on level ground in mid summer on a flat grassy field the second was a 1978 Ford F250 4x4 snow patrol as the night i bought it it never made it home from the dealership and had to be towed back and spent seven months out of the first twelve being worked on . The next was my 88 Ford F350 4X4 , bought it used with PROBLEMS just knowing i could fix it , yea wright . was getting parts for it one day and at the Ford dealer and i was expressing my displeasure over the fgact that the part that i just installed failed only after three week and the parts i had on order were on back order and should have been upgraded to a critical unit down order and were not when the service manager came in and asked me what the problem was , WRONG THING TO DO WITH ME as i plum unloaded on him and plum backed him into a corner and was about a hick up away from flat out layen him out on the floor when he asked where this truck was at . Asked him why and he said that there maybe some recalls on it and he would check , well he did check and yep there were and Ford said that they would do all and repaint the truck for free . Well they did o the recalls and Ford put now get this 14942 dollars into a truck that i paid 7000 for . Still have the WRO's on it . But that still did not fix it and spent the next year chasen stuff on it . By the time the truck had a 120000 miles on it we got all the bugs worked out and it served me well to 289000 miles when i sold it to a farmer out around Bucyerus Oh. As for tractors . That has to be a Farmall 460 gasser with S/N 571 the 70th 460 built plum hated that tractor and i believe it hated me too . There were two days that i was glad that i had that tractor . The day i bought it and the day i sold it . Still in the area and that is one tractor that i would NOT BUY BACK .

Today's Featured Article - Listening to Your Tractor - by Curtis Von Fange. Years ago there was a TV show about a talking car. Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo. ... [Read Article]
