A kid that worked for me was a nice kid, but seldom had a drivers licence for over a day or two at a time.
He was at the Wal-Mart in Prarie Du Chine Wisc, as a by stander trying to help someone that had purchesd a 30-06 prone to jaming all the time.
It was a bolt action, and the lady at the door had put a saftey lock on it. The lady had the trigger in the pulled position when she put the lock on.
The kid was trying to be helpfull, and shoved a live round in the chamber to observe the jamb. When he shoved the bolt forward--(yea, you all knew this was coming)--. It hit the metal rafter, then went out thru the roof.
He explained that to use the words--- escorted out the door-- was kinda a under stament, and even in a big super store it was kinda loud.
The scuff mark is still there three years later, and Wal-mart stopped selling guns in the store shortly there after.
