I've got to agree with you. I've never really understood the fascination with doing inframe's on smaller tractor engines. You're really only saving a few hours work and if one goes about it right, most are not that heavy to lift. Really, many times I think one does as much or more work trying to work around things inframe as if they just removed it. Then you can do the cam bearings, rear seal, etc with ease. If it was an 855 Cummins... I can see doing an inframe, but not a small engine.
