About twenty years ago I saw a Wagner-built Deere at the Deere dealership in Carrington ND. At the time I didn't know about the Wagner-Deere relationship so I had a bunch of questions going around in my mind about this strange looking Deere.
Then I read some interesting information about it somewhere. After the 8010 disaster Deere quit making 4WD tractors for awhile so they could re-group so they contracted with Wagner to paint some tractors green so Deere could have a 4WD offering on their lots. They did not sell well, with only something like a dozen 14's sold and about that many 16's. I'm still away from home so I don't have access to the book to give exact figures. Maybe someone else can chime in to correct me. Jim
