First, I hope you didn't actually mark any of them there boxes (in my best redneck vocabulary). You will be in violation of some government regulation as it is not yet April 1,2010. The Feds will probably send the US Marshalls (led by Tommy Lee Jones) to arrest you and throw you into one of them jails where you will be counted. So that brings up the question: What happens if you get arrested on April 1st at, say, 12 noon? Do you count yourself at home or do you get counted down at the pokey? LOL.
Just did my taxes last week and I figured the cursing, laughing that goes along with reading the IRS instructions was over for the year. Guess I get to look forward to another round of "government speak"with the Census forms.
And don't feel bad about being confused. It is intentional on the government's part. That's just how the beauracrats want us.
