The 1955 had the best of the three 310 engines in the 55 series because of the built in oil cooler and the larger turbo. However all of the 310 engines had problems with the line bore of the crank and the split wrist pin bearings. If the bearings are upgraded and the engine does not get overly hot, it will run for a long time, if taken care of. I have an 1855 Oliver that has the 1955 block in it, and almost lost a rod because of those split bearings last year. After the correct overhaul and updates, that engine has been very strong, and should run a long time
