Steve: I regularly use a diesel additive for that purpose, some stuff from Walmart, same stuff I use in my diesel auto. Do you have any suggestions for a good fuel additive? I have not replaced the filters in a while, that sounds like a reasonable suggestion. Thanks for your help, I'll give it a try. I used my TD6 to pull the UPS truck and my suburban (tried to pull him out with it) out of the creek this afternoon, lots o fun! Regards, Rick from Paso.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
