I suppose you don't wear seat belts and still smoke because that it the way it was done in the "old days". There are over 150 farm fatalities each year related to roll over accidents. That's a lot of fathers, grandfathers, brothers, and friends that are dead for no reason. I have a wife, kids, grandkids, and friends who I dearly love and am loved in return. They would be heart broken if I died, especially if it were a needless accident. Older and wiser??? Injury vs. death? You are more likely to suffer a serious injury without a ROPS than with one. You are correct in that education leads to the prevention of accidents. No one goes out expecting to have an accident. But it happens. Sometimes, no matter how careful you are. With your attitude, I have no doubt you will ever change. However, if this information can save a few people a lot of grief, it will be worth it. There are not that many farmers left. We need to keep all we can.
