I'll take your word that the Moen was MADE IN AMERICA, but I wonder where the equipment used to manufacture that faucet was made. Used to be that American machine tool manufacturers ruled the world (Cincinnati-Milicron, DeVlieg, Carlton, Excello, Danly, Bridgeport, Lamb, Kearney-Trecker, Cross, etc, etc). Now, go into any factory and all you see are Asian mfrs with a few German companies sprinkled in.
Look at how many of the guys on this Forum who own Kubota. Fact of the matter is that EVERY American has some skin in the loss of manufacturing jobs in this country. Why? Because we have lined up to buy products made in OTHER countries. And why did we do that? Because the price was better when we had the choice. Nowadays, in most cases, we don't even have a choice.
As Dave2 kind of points out, the only reason that PCs are cheap enough to allow just about everyone to own at least one (many of us have multiple computers in our house) is that they and their componentry is manufactured in countries where labor costs are low. It's not only China, It's the Phillipines, Malaysia, Thailand. This applies to the entire supply chain (IC chips, screws, chassis, wire, power supplies). I'd love to see a calculation on what a PC would cost if it and ALL of its components were made in the good ole USA by UAW labor.
Nice to know that you "support your own", but it's a little late for most manufacturing companies in this country.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
