If these are your tractors, then I would suggest you or your fuel supplier have a storage tank problem. Until you get it fixed, adding an automotive type paper filter (NAPA) in the fuel line will keep you from having to rebuild carburetors. NEVER use any kind of mechanical abrasion to clean a gas tank. If you do, you instantly turn it into junk. All metal gas tanks are made of "terne metal" which is steel coated with a mixture of lead and tin. The lead and tin react with nothing but are soft. Without any abrasion, they last nearly forever. For example, the one in my 33 year old tractor looks like brand new! Once the terne metal is damaged however, the tank will begin to rust from the inside out until it leaks to the point where you finally have to replace it or have it relined ($$$).
