Test and use: If it will stall the engine in low range with the brakes, but not stall it in High range, and if it moves when the lever is moved W/O delay. it is probably good. They are very handy for utility use, especially loader and slow operation tasks like roto tilling and detail maneuvering. They are not good heavy tillage transmissions, and should not be considered if that is the primary purpose. They will do the task, but are less happy, and less efficient than gear transmission tractors. They are expensive to repair, and have no reliability issues if used as above. They are great for their main task as above. Jim
