I've asked on here before about this whole thing but I still can't figure it out. I did some research and read that an engine operating too cool can kill fuel effiency because the engine dumps more fuel in to try to bring up the temp. The truck consistently runs at 70c(160f), Doesn't take long to get up to that temp so I was thinking the t-stat could be screwed. the other thing is the MAF. When I initially pulled the plug the truck quit right away. Did it again and same thing. That of course turned on the engine light. After it quit the second time I didn't plug it back in and started the truck(took some extra cranking) and it ran exactly the same but for whatever reason the engine light turned off. I pluged it back in and left it for a while and when I went to start it it did it's normal hard start and started. Ran fine but this time when i unpluged the MAF wires it stuttered for a second and came back and ran fine. I just don't understand the electronics so if someone could explain the reason behind all that. Thanks for taking the time to read that and TIA for helping. It's a Vortec 305 btw

I’d probably plowed about 3000 acres (in my head anyway) by the time they found me. This is where my love for tractors started and has only gotten worse in my tender 50 yrs on this “green planet”. I’m par
