Yep - Some days are a lot better than others. Got the chance to run over by Galesburg, IL today to look at a site. Sun was shining, 60 degrees and just about perfect. We looked at his project and got talking. During the conversation, he asked about my hobbies and I mentioned old Olivers and antique tractor pulling.
To make a long story short (hopefully), he took me into a couple of his "garages" - Holly Cow. First one was his "shop", next one was one of his display areas. Beatutifally restored Model T, Marmon and 1905 Gales (Made in Galesburg,Il for a short time - 1 of 14) plus animal mounts from all over the world. Didn't offer to show me his other 8 cars. Had my camera with me but was just in too much awe to be able to think. Kinda think I might have to go back and reevaluate! Very nice guy, by the way.
Oh yeah, spring might be on the way as I saw a LEO on a Harley with someone pulled over on the way back.
