You don't have to boycott anyone else! We know that we need gas to get to work. Instead of everyone boycotting this station or that, they simple picked the largest company and boycott them. The idea is their sales will fall and soon they will cut prices to draw business. As they go down people will purchase from the lower price station and that should cause each brand to lower prices a bit. We can't take on everyone at once, that's why someone suggested one at a time and started with the largest! Will it work? Who knows! I don't use Exxon myself, but there are stations in my area. We'll see as time passes.
