While living and working at the Morton salt mine near New Iberia, as contractors we had a run of the whole property because of what we were doing. There used to be a town on the property which was finally torn down after all the workers were moved off of the property after transportation improved. I found a dump site and a TON of canning jars with a lot of the zinc and glass lids still intact.
